New Graduate Certificate in Workplace Learning & Performance Launching in Fall 2025

Grayslake, IL—The Department of Literacy, Leadership, Development & Special Education at Northeastern Illinois University is excited to announce the launch of its new Graduate Certificate in Workplace Learning & Performance at the University Center of Lake County (UCLC) campus. The certificate program is designed to equip professionals with the skills necessary to enhance employee development and organizational performance. The program will commence in Fall 2025.


In today's fast-paced environment, organizations are increasingly recognizing the importance of effective training and development strategies. The Graduate Certificate in Workplace Learning & Performance aims to address this need by providing learners with a comprehensive understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and performance improvement practices.


Key Program Features


  • Flexible Learning Options: The program offers classes in a hybrid format, meeting both online and in person to accommodate the diverse needs of working professionals.

  • Expert Faculty: Participants will learn from experienced educators and industry professionals who bring real-world insights into the classroom.

  • Practical Application: The curriculum emphasizes hands-on projects and case studies, enabling learners to apply theories to real-life workplace scenarios

Graduates of the program will be well-prepared for roles such as Learning and Development Specialist, Training Manager, and Organizational Development Consultant, among others.
