The University Center of Lake County hosted its Annual Internship and Career Expo 2024 which marked a momentous event that brought together opportunity, ambition and community. With over 35+ employers representing industries as diverse as healthcare, education, technology, and business, and more than 100+ registered participants, the event was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when education and opportunity align.
This event is part of the University Center’s commitment to student success and workforce readiness. The diverse group of employers present offered positions ranging from internships to full-time opportunities, across a wide range of fields, including healthcare, business, education, technology, and more. For students, this was an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with employers and learn about potential career paths and internships aligned with their academic interests and aspirations.
Building Bridges to Opportunity
At the heart of the event was the opportunity to advocate for high-quality and career-driven education tailored for busy students and professionals. With access to over 113+ academic programs from 12 Universities, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral, and Certificate options, the University Center of Lake County provide students with flexible, accredited pathways to higher education and career advancement.
The Expo also highlighted our mission to empower students to take control of their futures whether through earning a degree, pursuing professional certifications, or networking with like-minded individuals by offering them direct access to industry leaders and resources that support career growth. The event was a reminder that success in education and the workforce is driven by access, opportunity, and connection—values that the University Center strives to foster every day.
