About the event
We are delighted to host Lauren Smith, PhD who has a vast background on helping clients work through challenging times. No matter if you are currently enrolled, thinking about a return to school, or just need help managing things, this session will equip you with needed tools to help you achieve your goals.
Native Chicagoan, Dr. Lauren Smith, is a child and adolescent clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of trauma and stressor related disorders. She is also the clinical director of culturally responsible programming for a school-based mental health organization, college professor and founder of Creating Healing Interventions (C.H.I.), a community-centered mental wellness organization. Creating Healing Interventions seeks to promote a greater community-level understanding of the impact of daily and/or traumatic stressors on our mental well-being while providing trauma-informed and culturally responsive tools and resources to mitigate the harmful effects.
