Deputy Governor
A visionary leader in public policy and education reform, currently serves as Deputy Governor for Budget and the Economy under Governor JB Pritzker. As a former Illinois State Senator, he was the key architect of the Evidence-Based Funding for Student Success Act, revolutionizing the equitable distribution of public education funding in Illinois. With a legacy of legislative achievements including combating the teacher shortage, raising teacher wages, and expanding high-speed broadband to underserved schools, Deputy Governor Manar continues to champion transformative change in education and beyond.
