Writing tutoring by Maria Palazzolo is available via Skype on Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm during the Spring 2014 semester.

Here are the steps for making a Skype appointment:
1. If you would like a Skype appointment, call 773-442-4568 and ask to make a Skype appointment with Maria.  When you book your appointment, you will be asked for your student i.d. number, email address, course information, and reason for your visit.  (If you need to cancel an appointment, let us know by calling the LSC Desk at 773-442-4568.)
2. Add us to your Skype account prior to your appointment: neiututor1
3. If you need help setting up a Skype account, tell the front desk staff, and they will schedule a 50-minute Skype set-up appointment with one of our tutors.
4. At least one hour before your appointment, email your Skype ID and your paper along with the syllabus and assignment sheet to lsc@neiu.edu
5. In the subject line of your email, include the date and time of your Skype appointment, as seen in this example:
Subject: SKYPE appointment April 12, 10 a.m.
6. In order for you and the tutor to hear each other, find a quiet location for your Skype appointment.
7. The tutor will initiate the Skype call, so you have to be at your computer at the exact time of your appointment.  If you are not there to accept the call, you will lose your appointment.
8. You may email Maria on Fridays between the hours of 9 and 2 with any questions or concerns regarding your Skype appointment.  Her email address is m-palazzolo@neiu.edu.
