Odds are that you’ve already earned some college credit before coming to the University Center. Good thing, because University Center offers bachelor’s completion degrees. In most cases, only junior and senior level courses are offered. We rely on students’ earlier college experiences to supply those freshman/sophomore level courses. Our partner, the College of Lake County, can provide coursework to students who have never attended college or who still need freshman/sophomore level courses. Visit CLC’s Transfer Partnerships page to learn more about our collaboration or download a brochure below.
Admission to teacher certification programs requires first passing the Illinois Test of Academic Proficiency (formerly the Illinois Test of Basic Skills). In some cases, other standardized test scores can be substituted. Visit the Illinois State Board of Education website for details.
Most of our bachelor’s completion programs have transfer agreements with the College of Lake County that outline how CLC courses fulfill requirements for that program. Click below on the name of the degree program to see its CLC transfer agreement.
See iTransfer for statewide information about how credits transfer among Illinois public (and some private) institution and see Illinois Articulation Initiative for information about general education courses across the state.
If your prior college coursework was taken elsewhere, our Pre-Admission Advisor can tell you how to get that credit evaluated.
