News Briefs include items that have not yet appeared in our newsletter and did not appear in press releases. Press releases highlighting major news items appear on our Current Press Releases page.

In June of 2009, the University Center Governing Board adopted a new strategic plan.  It builds on the 2006-2008 Strategic Plan and refines the mission and vision of the University Center. 

Its four strategic development areas are:

1. Bolster academic programming.
2. Build alliances throughout the community and IBHE.
3. Strengthen the organization.
4. Establish financial stability.

Hungry University Center students have long appreciated the ability to grab a bite before class or during break at the Michael’s on Main at the University Center cafe.

Now UC students and faculty, the CLC community, and nearby residents can pop in for lunch. 

Regular hours are 11:30 a.m.  to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m, Mondays through Thursdays and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Click here for more details.
